How do I open settings or fully quit?

Open the Chonkbreak icon in the macOS menu bar. Choose Settings to change your pet, size, motion, and startup behavior. Choose Quit Chonkbreak, or use Quit app beside Save changes, to stop it completely.

Why does my computer warn me before installation?

Chonkbreak is independently distributed without paid Apple publisher certification. Try to open it once, then use System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. Verify that you downloaded the file from chonkbreak.com and compare its SHA-256 first. Do not disable system-wide security protections.

My companion is hidden or off-screen

Open Settings from the menu bar and save once. Chonkbreak will show the companion and move it back inside the current display. If it is simply hidden, choose Show companion from the menu bar menu.

How do updates work during beta?

Download the latest independent build from the desktop download page and install it over the existing version. Your local companion settings remain on the computer.

The pet didn't appear after the time limit

The current site is on your list — open the popup and confirm.
You stayed on that tab with the window focused. Switching away pauses the timer.
You actually reached the usage limit (60 minutes by default). Lower it in the popup if you want to test faster.
If you just installed Chonkbreak on a tab that was already open, refresh that tab once.
