Privacy Policy

1. Desktop app

The Chonkbreak desktop app works without an account. It stores these preferences locally on your computer:

• Your selected pet and pet size
• Idle motion, reduce motion, and keep-above-other-windows choices
• Your launch-at-login choice, which is also registered with your operating system

The desktop app does not upload these settings, does not require sensitive system permissions, and does not currently send product analytics. The four included pet packs are bundled with the installer and work offline.

2. Chrome extension storage

The Chrome extension stores the settings and pet assets it needs in Chrome's local storage and IndexedDB:

• Your usage limit, break duration, selected pet, and enabled site domains
• Your current pet's local metadata and downloaded media assets
• Per-site usage time used to decide when to show a reminder
• An anonymous random ID used to deduplicate analytics

3. Chrome extension analytics

To understand how the Chrome extension is used, it sends a small set of anonymous events to Google Analytics 4:

• extension_installed / extension_updated: extension version
• pet_selected: selected pet ID
• settings_saved: usage limit, break duration, and the counts of enabled sites
• pet_shown: selected pet ID, and a site category that is one of x, youtube, facebook, reddit, threads, bluesky, or the literal string custom

Custom site domains are never transmitted. If a reminder fires on a site you added yourself, we send only custom, not the hostname, URL, or page content.

4. What the apps do not collect

• Advertising IDs, IP addresses, or device identifiers
• Browsing history, full URLs, page titles, page content, or form inputs
• Files, photos, contacts, microphone, camera, or screen contents

5. Website and launch-list email

Chonkbreak.com loads website analytics only after you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you decline, analytics does not load.

If you join the custom-pet or desktop launch list, we send the email address you enter to Supabase and store it so we can send the requested launch notice. The website does not create an account from that address. You can ask us to remove it at any time by emailing hello@chonkbreak.com.

6. Service providers

We use Google Analytics 4 for the anonymous Chrome and consented website events described above, and Supabase to store launch-list email addresses. Google Signals and ads personalization are off, there is no Google Ads link, and analytics data retention is set to two months.

7. Selling or sharing data

Chonkbreak does not sell personal information. We share information only with the service providers needed to operate the features described in this policy.
